Fronika de Wit, Dutch, did her undergraduate degree in human geography and master’s degree in development studies, both at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. After finishing the master’s degree she worked with local sustainability in the municipal chamber of Dordrecht. From 2011 to 2016, she lived in the State of Acre, in the Brazilian Amazon, where she worked on local and international socio-environmental projects. In 2016, Fronika began her PhD in Climate Change. The subject of her research is Polycentric Climate Governance in the Amazon, with case studies in Brazil and Peru, under the guidance of Professor João Ferrão.
