The evolution of the project focused on the development of the theoretical framework of justice and environmental justice, and on the development of a conceptual framework that allowed the construction of a research analysis model. One of the first consequences of this theoretical work was the redefinition of the research line and the project title itself. While there is a concern to relate the promotion of environmental quality with definitions of principles of justice, the use of a concept of collective justice (initially used) is replaced by that of environmental justice.
