Graduated in Law from the University of Lisbon, LL.M from the Harvard Law School, Doctorat d’État en Droit from the University of Nice. Full time Professor at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and Professor at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Member of the Center for Studies on Socio-economic Change – DINAMIA, ISCTE-IUL, has coordinated and participated in several research projects supported by the Foundation for Science and Technology and the European Commission and published widely in Portugal and internationally, especially in the domains European economic and information law, as well as the regulation of risk and the relations between science, politics and law, giving priority to transdisciplinary perspectives.

She has participated in several scientific councils and working groups in the European and international framework.
