PhD in Sociology from ISCTE, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon.

She has developed his activity always in the area of ​​Sociology of the Environment, having collaborated in several projects of investigation on the subjects of the perception of risk, social representations, social movements, energy and environment and health.

She is part of the Coopérnico founders group – Cooperativa de Desarrollo Sustentável, CRL and is a member of the Board. She was a member of the National Directorate of Quercus – National Nature Conservation Association from 2003 to 2011 and was part of the Minuto Verde program team from the beginning to the end of 2015. She was a member of the National Council for Environment and Sustainable Development representing ONGA between 2007 and 2013.
