The objective of the report is to provide an overview of current developments in the transport sector in Italy, focusing on the use of assessment procedures to support decision-making. This overview, together with similar studies for France, Britain, The Netherlands and Finland, will make a contribution towards the definition of recommendations aimed at promoting the use of assessments for efficient and robust decision making.
