Cova da Moura: space and margin in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area

Susana Boletas is an anthropologist. Having a degree in Anthropology at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon in 2010, she specialized in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon in 2011. She is currently a PhD student in Anthropology at ICS-ULisboa, in the specialty of Political and Ethnicity Anthropology, with a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology. Her dissertation deals with the processes of mediation between the district of Alto da Cova da Moura and the city, paying special attention to the political, social, cultural, economic and symbolic interactions between this neighborhood and its population, and its exterior.

She is a member of the Portuguese Association of Anthropology and the European Association of Social Anthropologists. Publishes in specialty journals. Her areas of interest are Political Anthropology and Urban Anthropology.
